CW - DWA Industrial Gland
Application
Double wire armoured cable types.
Indoors or outdoors (external moisture).
Can be used underground in intrinsically safe or non-hazardous areas.
Fitting Instructions
1. Seperate gland into its three component parts and after ensuring that the seal is in its relaxed state, pass item 3 over the cable.
2. Strip back outer sheath and armour to suit equipment geometry.
3. Expose armouring by further stripping outer sheath for a length equivalent to the item 2 knurl plus 10mm and splay out the outer armour wires.
4. Remove the inner-armour insulation up
to the splay position, then pass item 2 over the cable to butt against the outer armour.
5. Secure Item 1 into the equipment.
6. Pass cable through item 1, equally spacing armoured wires on knurled cone.
7. Lock inner armouring by tightening item 2 onto item 1.
8. Equally space the outer armour wires on the knurled cone of item 2, then lock outer armouring by tightening item 3 onto item 2.
Note: Items 1,2 and 3 should not lock face to face.
9. Close seal by tightening second hexagon of item 2.
