Cable Glands for Mining E1FT and E1FT/F
Application
Pliable wire armoured cable types.
Indoors or outdoors (internal and external moisture).

Fitting Instructions
1. Separate gland into three main component parts by seperating items 4, 5 and 6.
2. Ensure the seal is in its relaxed state and pass item 6 and 5 over the cable.
Note: Item 5 must be correctly oriented.
3. Strip back outer sheath and armour to suit equipment geometry.
4. Expose armouring by further stripping outer sheath for a length equivalent to the item 4 knurl plus 5mm.
Secure Item 1 into the equipment.
5. Ensure seal (item 2) is in its relaxed state (but do not seperate items 1 and 4) Secure Item 1 into the equipment.
6. Pass cable through combinations of items 1 - 4, equally spacing the armouring over the knurled cone.
7. Whilst continuing to push cable forward to maintain armour wires in contact with the knurled cone, tighten item 4 into item 1.
8. Lock armouring by pushing item 5 over the armouring and tightening item 6 onto item 4.
Note: Items 4 and 6 should not lock face to face.
9. Close vottom seal by tightening second hexagon of item 6.
